Newbury Triathlon, Newbury, Berkshire
The Newbury Triathlon is a long established sprint triathlon held in Newbury, Berkshire and hosted by Newbury Velo. It was first held in 1987; the 2026 edition will be the 39th running of the event.
Race distances:
- 300 m swim in the outdoor pool at Northcroft Leisure Centre.
- 22 km cycle on an open road route through the surrounding countryside.
- 5 km run along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The event uses the newly refurbished outdoor pool at Northcroft Leisure Centre and offers on site parking on the field adjacent to the leisure centre. The location sits next to a public park with an outdoor playground. The leisure centre includes a soft play area and an indoor swimming pool; availability may vary.
Entries must be made in advance and there are no on the day entries. Entries close on 26 August 2026. The organiser operates a tiered refund policy based on notification time before the event: notification more than eight weeks returns 50 percent of the entry fee, notification two to eight weeks returns 20 percent, and notification less than two weeks returns no refund.
