Barrelman Niagara Falls
Barrelman Niagara Falls is a point-to-point multisport event located in Welland, Ontario. The competition features various race formats incorporating swimming, cycling, and running components.
The swim segment takes place at the Welland International Flatwater Centre, a professional venue featuring calm waters. Athletes complete a single loop swim and transition near the grandstands. The bike course utilizes the paved Niagara Parkway. For the Half distance, the route includes two loops with nearly 64 km of closed roads, while the Olympic distance offers 25 km of closed roads. The run course is primarily flat with a few specific hills.
Participants can choose from the following individual and relay categories:
- Barrelman Half Distance Triathlon: 2 km swim, 90 km bike, and 21.1 km run.
- Barrelman Half Distance Aqua Bike: 2 km swim and 90 km bike.
- Barrelman Half Distance Bike/Run: 90 km bike and 21.1 km run.
- Olympic Triathlon: standard distance swim, bike, and run.
- Olympic Aqua Bike: swim and bike segments.
- Olympic Bike/Run: bike and run segments.
Registration includes several amenities such as a finisher's medal, a Barrelman hat, a t-shirt, and professional timing.
