Barns & Blooms Half Marathon
Held on 05/15/2027 at Hamilton-Wenham High School, 775 Bay Road, South Hamilton, Massachusetts, this event features a single-loop 13.1 Miles course described as flat and fast. The route highlights New England countryside, antique barns, polo fields, and spring flowers.
Parking is available in three options: limited parking near the start/finish at Hamilton-Wenham High School; additional parking about 1.5 miles away at Patton Park (340 Bay Rd); and additional parking about 1.7 miles away at Proctor Estate Trail Head (240 County Road, Ipswich). Distances from the start are noted and participants should plan accordingly.
There are six aid stations with water and sports drink near miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. Energy gels will be available near mile 6. A portable restroom will be available near mile 7 and portable restrooms will also be at the start/finish area. With warmer temperatures anticipated, runners are encouraged to carry additional water with their own hydration bottle, belt, vest or pack.
Bib and race swag pick-up is on race day only from 7:00am to 7:45am. Bag check is not available.
Award medals are given to the top three male and female in each age group: Overall, 18 & Under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79. Awards and purchased merchandise are available for pick-up at the race only and will not be mailed; there will not be an awards ceremony. Per USATF rules, gun times are used for scoring.
The roads on course are open to traffic and local police departments will help monitor traffic. Registration opens 05/01/2026 and closes 01/31/2027; the registration fee listed is $79.99. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
