Bark & Bolt - Hendersonville
Bark & Bolt is the 4th Annual community race held at Patton Park, 1730 Asheville Highway, Hendersonville, NC on August 1, 2026. The event includes road race and community components presented by Hunter Subaru and supported by local partners and sponsors. Fundraising is organized for local rescues including the Blue Ridge Humane Society.
Race options include:
- 5K with or without a dog
- One Mile untimed run or walk
- 100 Meter Paw Pursuit fun dash
- Virtual Bark & Bolt 5K
New for 2026, all registered participants receive a commemorative finisher medal that spins. Event swag includes a short sleeve custom shirt for registrations completed by the early shirt deadline; shirts are available later in limited sizes for a fee. Youth pricing and youth sized race tees are offered, and there is a bike corral option for participants who arrive by bicycle.
The event runs alongside the Bark in the Park Dog Fair located in the field at Patton Park near the start and finish area. The fair features local pet friendly vendors and a Top Dog Contest.
Safety guidelines require dogs to be leashed, vaccinated, and well behaved. Owners are responsible for their dogs. Organizers recommend bringing poop bags and personal water bowls; some bowls and small dog pools will be provided on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
