Bark & Bolt - Patton Park, Hendersonville
Bark & Bolt is a community running event at Patton Park in Hendersonville on August 1, 2026, presented by Hunter Subaru. The event is the fourth annual edition and is described as family and dog friendly, offering both timed and untimed options for participants with or without dogs.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K with optional dog entry
- One Mile untimed
- 100 meter Paw Pursuit sprint for dogs
- Virtual 5K option for remote participants
New for 2026, all registered participants receive a commemorative finisher medal that spins. The event also includes a Top Dog Contest and the Bark in the Park Dog Fair, which features local pet friendly vendors and community partners. The event lists partnerships with organizations including the Blue Ridge Humane Society to support rescue efforts.
Packet pickup is available at Patton Park under the iDaph tent adjacent to the dog fair and near the start and finish area. Safety guidelines require well behaved dogs, leashes (no retractable leashes), up to date vaccinations including rabies, and that owners are responsible for their dogs actions.
