Let Your Light Shine 5K - Asheville
The Let Your Light Shine 5K is a fundraising walk or run held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Carrier Park in Asheville, North Carolina. The event is timed by Finish Well Timing and is organized to raise funds and increase awareness of Western Carolina Rescue Ministries.
This is the ministry’s 8th annual 5K. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Western Carolina Rescue Ministries and support its programs that seek life transformation across recovery, shelter, and outreach services.
Funds raised are intended to help break cycles of homelessness and addiction in the region. Western Carolina Rescue Ministries has served the homeless community of Asheville for 46 years, providing rescue, recovery, and restoration. The ministry provides services such as hot meals, shelter, and recovery support while aiming to help participants reengage in society with dignity and opportunity.
Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes May 15, 2026. The registration fee is $30. Packet pick up will be under the Pavilion at Carrier Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
