Ballymena Belles Ladies 5 Mile Race : Galgorm, Ballymena
The Ballymena Belles is a women-only 5 mile road race held on 14 April 2026, based at Galgorm Community Centre and passing through Galgorm village. The route begins in Galgorm Industrial Park, runs onto the main Galgorm Road toward Ahoghill with a gradual incline, then returns on quieter country roads and finishes on the football pitches at Galgorm Community Centre.
The first four miles take place on public roads; runners should follow marshal directions at road crossings. The final mile is on a tarmac path around the Wright Bus site. For safety, running with earphones, dogs or prams is not permitted. The event minimum age is 16.
Prizes include cash awards for first, second and third overall and age category prizes; a junior section covers 16 and 17 year olds. A team prize, the Ballymena Belles Shield, will be awarded to the team of four registered club members with the lowest cumulative top positions. Athletes may receive only one individual prize.
Entry details: entries opened 28 January 2026 and close 5 April 2026. Entry fees are listed for UKA members and non-members. There are no refunds or deferrals; transfers and name changes can be made online until 6 April 2026.
Registration is at Galgorm Community Centre on race day and an early pack collection is scheduled at Ballymena Bowling Club. Post-race prize giving and refreshments are held at Galgorm Community Centre. Car parking is available at Creative Gardens and limited parking at Ballymena Business Centre on Fenaghy Road.
