Event Details
The Ballinastoe running event takes place on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, in County Wicklow. It features two race distances. The main course covers 11.00 km with 504 m of climb. A short course is available, which is 4.70 km. The event is part of the Leinster League.
Location and Parking
The start, finish, and parking are at Ballinastoe Wood in Roundwood, County Wicklow (postcode A98PP49).
Route and Marking
The race route is fully marked. GPS devices are permitted for use during the event. The short course follows a specific route: straight up to the WW Boardwalk and back the same way to the finish.
Mandatory Kit
All runners must bring specific mandatory kit (Level B - Standard). The required items are:
- Waterproof jacket
- Hat or buff
- Gloves
- Whistle
- Charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored
- Foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent
The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalized on the day, depending on conditions, and advised at registration. Failure to have the required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.
Registration and Entry
Entry opens on Monday, 15 June 2026 at 21:00 and closes on Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at 12:00. The entry cost is €7 for seniors and €5 for those over 65 and under 18. There is an entry limit of 200 participants.
