About the race
Baden Running Races is a set of road and trail races held in Wilmot Township, centered at the Wilmot Recreation Complex in Baden, ON, Canada. The 2026 edition takes place on May 24, 2026 and continues a spring running tradition in the township that spans 43 years.
Distances offered include:
- 2.5 km individual run, part road and part Schmidt Woods trail
- 5 km individual run, timed, two loops, Neil Dunford Memorial
- Baden Back 2 Back, individual combined 7.5 km (5 km then 2.5 km)
- 200 m kids fun run, untimed
The 2.5 km loop is described as very flat: the first 1.75 km on trail and the last 0.75 km on road. A water station is located at the finish line.
Every finisher receives a medal. Technical t-shirts are available for purchase while supplies last, and stickers are handed out at kit pickup on a first-come, first-served basis. Entries are non-refundable; deferrals and transfers are outlined in the registration waiver. Discounts are available for Run Waterloo members and for official group partners. The event supports fundraising for the Interfaith Counselling Centre, with CA$1,101.56 raised toward a CA$2,500 goal, and listed 248 participants.
