Event Overview

The Baden Running Races 2026 take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Wilmot Recreation Complex in Baden, Ontario. It is a road and trail running event in Wilmot Township.

Distances and Formats

Several race formats are offered:

  • 2.5 km: A timed run/walk, known as the Neil Dunford Memorial, partly on road and partly on the Schmidt Woods trail.
  • 5 km: A timed run/walk, consisting of two loops of the 2.5 km course.
  • Baden Back-2-Back: An individual race combining the 5 km and 2.5 km events with approximately 60 minutes between start times. It includes one finisher medal.
  • 200m for kids: An untimed fun run. Parents or guardians registered for a timed event can run with a registered child without additional fee or registration.

Strollers and their occupants are permitted for free on the 2.5 km course only, but must be registered via the system and accompanied by a participant in a different event.

Course and Logistics

The 2.5 km loop course is described as very flat. The first 1.75 km is on trail and the final 0.75 km is on road. A water station is located at the finish line. Race kit pickup is available the day before at Runners' Choice Waterloo or on-site on race morning.
