About
The Stratford 5K Run/Walk 2026 is the fifth annual edition of this event. 100% of the proceeds go to The Local Community Food Centre (CFC), a local organization in Stratford, Ontario.
Course and Details
The 5 km run and walk start and finish in Upper Queens Park. The route passes by Victoria Lake and the Stratford Festival theatres. The event is chip-timed. It is open to runners, walkers, and strollers.
A kids' run of approximately 600 metres is also held. Junior participants receive a medal and treats from Rheo Thompson.
Registration and Fundraising
Registration includes a mandatory minimum donation, with a portion being tax-receipt eligible. A reduced registration fee applies for youth under 17 participating in the 5 km. Rewards are offered to participants who fundraise beyond certain tiers (e.g., $250 and above). Team registration is available; a trophy is awarded to the fastest team, based on the top three times.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as in several age categories (Under 17, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
