About the race
The Runway 2026 is a run and walk event held on August 29, 2026 at the Operations Centre, New Germany Lane, at the Region of Waterloo International Airport in Breslau, Ontario. Participants warm up on a taxiway and run on airport tarmac on a measured loop course. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario.

- Kids 200 m untimed fun run
- Future Runner for stroller occupants (strollers and passengers are free and must be registered)
The 5 mile route begins partway through the 2 mile loop and completes two additional full loops. All running is counterclockwise. There is a water station at the finish area; 5 mile participants pass this station twice. At the finish area the right lane is for finishers and the left lane is for participants continuing for another loop.
Individual entries include a finisher medal for all distances. Event t-shirts are available for purchase while supplies last, and themed stickers are offered free at kit pickup on a first come basis. Registration fees vary by registration period. Refunds are not available, but deferrals and transfers are outlined in the registration waiver.
