The Runway 2026
The Runway 2026 takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Operations Centre, New Germany Lane, Region of Waterloo International Airport in Breslau, Ontario.
Distances and entry types:
- 2 Mile race and fun run/walk.
- 5 Mile race.
- Kids' 200m untimed fun run with finisher medal.
- Future Runner (stroller occupant) free when registered and accompanied by a participant.
The route uses the airport taxiway and tarmac. The 2 mile follows one loop. The 5 mile begins halfway through that loop and then completes two additional full loops. All running is counterclockwise. At the finish area the right lane is for finishing and the left lane is for continuing for another loop. There is a water station at the finish line; 5 mile entrants pass this station twice.
All participants at any distance are guaranteed a finisher medal. T-shirts are available for purchase while supplies last. Themed stickers are available free at kit pickup. Refunds are not available; deferrals and transfers are described in the waiver agreed at registration.
The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Fundraising for the event includes Mission Aviation Fellowship; CA$7,052.09 has been raised toward a CA$12,000.00 goal. The event lists 315 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
