About the race
The TMMC Fall 5 KM Classic is the 28th annual edition held in Riverside Park, Cambridge, Ontario. The course runs along the Speed River and is described as very flat, with approximately 90% road and 10% paved pathway. The route is certified by Athletics Canada and the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario.
Key race features include a water station at 2.5 km, guaranteed finisher medals for all 5 km and 200 m participants, and T-shirts included with 5 km entries while supplies last. Stickers are available at bib pickup while supplies last. Runners may decline the free shirt for a reduced fee.
The course is closed to vehicle traffic for most of the route, with two short sections set as two-way running on a coned road and one clockwise U turn that reuses an earlier part of the course. There is plentiful parking along Rogers Drive with vehicle entry from Speedsville Road only. There are at least twice the required number of washrooms near the start.
The event offers multiple entry options and discounts including a 25% member discount for Run Waterloo, stackable group discounts, and corporate group rates. Registration fees vary by date. Refunds are not available; deferrals and transfers are described in the participant waiver and registration policy.
