A participant's competition score is a combination of bench press repetitions at a prescribed percentage of body weight and the 5K race time. Weight charts set the required lift percentages. For scoring, each successful lift reduces the participant's 5K time by 30 seconds, with a maximum of 30 successful lifts for a maximum 15 minute reduction.
Athletes who take part in the pump portion weigh in and complete lifts on race day prior to the run. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the main 5K event and $0 for the kids dash. Registration for the main event opens May 16, 2026 and closes September 24, 2026; kids dash registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes October 9, 2026.
