Back Roads Bound
Back Roads Bound takes place on August 8, 2026, at Hawley Park in White Lake, Michigan. The event offers several distance options that start and finish at the park and follow Porter Road and neighboring back roads in an out and back format. The course is marked with volunteers, cones, and arrows, but participants are expected to know the route. The course is open to traffic and monitored by White Lake police.

There are four aid stations on the course. All aid stations provide water; the 10K turnaround and another station will offer Gatorade. Packet pick up and event amenities including parking, bathrooms, registration, and water are located near the start area, with parking available at Kohl’s near the start line.
All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Participants in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K receive a custom race shirt while supplies last; refreshments are provided. Overall male and female winners in each race receive awards, and the top three in each age group are recognized. There is no formal awards ceremony; results and awards are available at the results table after the race.
