Baby Steps 5k Run/Walk Kalamazoo
This event is a community 5K run and walk held at Spring Valley Park, 2606 Mt Olivet Rd, Kalamazoo, MI 49004. The event honors Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness and will donate proceeds to the Star Legacy Foundation, Amos' Anchors, and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
Two participation options are offered: an in-person run/walk and a virtual 5K. Registration opens on November 14, 2025. Early bird pricing ends August 31, 2026. In-person registration closes August 31, 2026; virtual registration remains open through September 26, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the in-person 5K, $25 for the virtual 5K, and a family price of $60 for up to 2 adults and 4 children. Participants must register each adult and child individually unless using the family pricing option.
Course format for the in-person event is described as a one-loop course for walkers (2 miles) and a two-loop course for runners (3.1 miles). Shirts are included for registrations completed before September 1, and post-event snacks and water are provided. Bib pick-up and pre-race check-in are available on the day before and the day of the event at designated locations. The event is organized by Amos' Anchors and Forever Loved.
