Baby Steps 5k Run/Walk Kalamazoo
This event is a charity 5K run/walk held at Spring Valley Park in Kalamazoo in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Proceeds will be donated to the Star Legacy Foundation, Amos' Anchors, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, and The TEARS Foundation.
The event offers both an in-person and a virtual option. Registration details include a family pricing option for up to 2 adults and 4 children, an in-person fee of $30, and a virtual fee of $25. Early bird pricing ends August 31 and shirt inclusion applies to registrations completed before September 1.
- 5K in-person (walkers follow a one-loop 2 mile course; runners follow a two-loop 3.1 mile course)
- 5K virtual (participants run a 5K on their own and submit a time)
Bib pick-up and pre-race check-in are available the day before at Biggby, 23944 Red Arrow Hwy, Mattawan, and there is on-site bib pick-up and registration on the race day. Post-race snacks and water are provided. The event is organized by Amos' Anchors and Forever Loved, a committee for perinatal bereavement care in West Michigan.
