KAR Turkey Trot Time Prediction Run
The KAR Turkey Trot is a 5K time-prediction run held in Portage, Michigan on November 26, 2026. Participants predict their finish time and awards go to those who finish closest to their prediction, which rewards pacing and precision. The official results include only runners who finish within 45 minutes.
Awards are also given to top male and female finishers in each age division and to the overall open winners for male, female, and non-binary categories. An awards ceremony and prizes for best dressed runners are part of the event. All participants receive a finisher medal and are eligible for door prizes.
Registration opens on September 7, 2026. Pre-registration for individuals is $25 until November 24, 2026; a family pack for four or more is $60. Late online registration and event day registration are $30 per person. Long sleeve event shirts are available for an additional $25 during registration and may be sold at packet pickup while supplies last. No refunds or transfers. Bicycles and dogs are not permitted.
The course is behind Moorsbridge Elementary School on the cross-country course at 7361 Moorsbridge Rd, Portage, MI 49024. Early packet pickup is at Mitten Running Company at Southland Mall, 6290 S. Westnedge Ave, and day-of packet pickup is at Moorsbridge Elementary School. The event accepts non-perishable food and monetary donations for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
