Babler Bongo 15K Trail Race
The Babler Bongo 15K Trail Race is an outdoor running event held at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, Missouri. Organized by Terrain Trail Runners, this event serves as a foot race focused on the natural terrain of the park. Participants can choose between two primary formats for completing the course:
- 15 km trail race
- 15 km ruck
The event is held in late October and represents the first foot race hosted at this specific state park location. The course is designed to accommodate individuals with varying levels of experience in trail running, from those new to the sport to more experienced runners.
The Ruck division requires participants to carry a backpack, rucksack, or weighted vest. This weight must be at least 20 lbs, which does not including any water or food consumed during the race. Finishers in the rucking category receive a specific custom patch. Additionally, a portion of the registration fee for each rucker is donated to the organization Dogs for our Brave.
The event organizers implement sustainability practices and offer registration support through the Trail Mix Fund.
