Babler Bongo 15K Trail Race / 15K RUCK : Wildwood, MO
The Babler Bongo is a 15K trail event held at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, Missouri on October 24, 2026. The course is a loop that connects Dogwood, Woodbine, Hawthorn and Equestrian trails and starts and finishes at the Guy Park trailhead at the Henry Babler Enclosed Shelter. The course distance is 15K with approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain.
Two event options are offered:
- 15K Trail Run
- 15K RUCK, carry a minimum 20 lb pack not including water or food
There will be one unmanned water-only aid station on the loop at about 4.5 miles. This is a cup free event, so participants should carry a handheld, hydration vest, and a collapsible cup or mug for water. Finishers in the Trail Race receive a custom finisher medal, and RUCK finishers receive a custom rucking patch. Overall awards will be given to top male, female and non-binary performers in each division.
The event is capped at 75 runners. Race day onsite registration will be accepted for a stated cash fee, with swag only if sizes are available and not guaranteed. A portion of ruck registration fees will be donated to DOGS for our BRAVE. The race partners with the Trail Mix Fund to help cover registration for those who cannot afford it.
