Event Overview
The AZ Sunrise Series – Scottsdale Sports Complex is the second leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series. The event takes place in May at Scottsdale Sports Complex in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Distances
The event features a single distance: a 5K.
Participant Information
The in-person event is limited to 700 participants. It is open to walkers and welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, and leashed pets. Roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted on the course. The event proceeds regardless of weather, with no refunds or transfers for weather-related reasons.
Participants can choose between two start options: an open start line available during a specific morning window or a traditional mass start. Race day registration is available at the venue.
Registration and Fees
Registration is tiered with fees increasing at specified dates. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend in person, though it is restricted to US addresses. Participants also have the option to register for the entire seven-event Arizona Sunrise Series.
Included Perks
Registered participants receive a custom series medal, an additional medal attachment for this specific event, and a choice of event swag (such as arm sleeves, a tank top, or a shirt). There is an option to decline the swag for a discount. The event includes chip timing, extra water stations on the course, and a pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch" with snacks and drinks.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each category.
