2026 Arizona Sunrise Series - Scottsdale Sports Complex

The 2026 Arizona Sunrise Series continues with its second event held at the Scottsdale Sports Complex in Scottsdale, Arizona. This series is designed for participants to maintain their running activity during the warmer months by starting events earlier in the day. The Scottsdale race is limited to a total of 700 participants.

The event offers the following distance:

  • 5 km

Participants have the choice of two starting formats on race day. An open start line is available for those who wish to begin their run at any time within a specified early morning window. Alternatively, a traditional mass start is provided for the entire field. The course is chip-timed, and results are available in real-time.

The event features a "Runner's Brunch" with items such as granola bars, fruit, water, and Gatorade. Additional water stations are positioned along the course. Participants who do not attend the in-person event have the option to register for a virtual run, which includes the shipment of a medal and shirt to United States addresses.

The course is open to various types of participants, including walkers and those using wheelchairs, strollers, or wagons. Leashed pets are also permitted to join the race. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers across a wide range of age groups, starting from 8 and under up to 80 and over.

As part of the broader StartLine Racing Series, participants can earn points based on their finish and age group. Those who complete at least four out of the seven events in the full series are eligible for a prize drawing at the end of the season.
