Event Overview
The AZ Sunrise Series - Kiwanis Park is the first leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series. The event takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Arizona.
Race Details
The event features a 5K distance and is limited to 700 participants. Results from a previous year (2025) are available online. Participants can choose from two starting options: an open start line from 5:30 AM to 6:15 AM, or a traditional mass start at 6:30 AM.
Registration & Pricing
Registration includes a custom series medal, a custom medal add-on for this race, and a choice of event swag (arm sleeves, tank top, sleeveless shirt, or short sleeve shirt). A virtual run option is also available. Prices increase in tiers from January 1 to May 15. Race day registration will be available starting at 5:30 AM at Kiwanis Park for $50, with cash and credit cards accepted.
Event Features
The event is chip-timed, with real-time results and photos available online. It includes age group awards, extra water stations on the course, and a pre- and post-race "Runner's Brunch." The event is leashed-pet friendly and welcomes walkers, wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. No roller blades, skates, skateboards, or motorized devices are allowed.
Packet Pickup
