Arizona Sunrise Series Phoenix - Kiwanis Park
The AZ Sunrise Series event at Kiwanis Park in Tempe is a chip timed 5K held on May 16, 2026. The race is limited to 700 participants and uses marked running trails at Kiwanis Park with all asphalt and concrete surfaces. The trail system remains open to the public during the event.
Participants receive a custom series medal with additions for each series event completed and a choice of a custom event Dri-Fit tech t-shirt, racerback tank top, or sleeveless shirt. Real time results and event photos are provided by StartLine Racing, and the course is set and marked by StartLine Racing.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each listed division, excluding virtual runners. Divisions include 8 & Under, 9-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 & Over.
The event is wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly. All wheelchairs, strollers, and leashed pets must start at the back of the start line coral; chip timing ensures recorded times begin when each participant crosses the start line. There is no bag check due to the shared start and finish area.
This race is one leg of the 2026 Arizona Sunrise Series, a seven race series that awards points for each event. Top point earners and participants who complete multiple events will be entered in the series prize drawing, and three people will receive a $500 give card.
