AZ Sunrise Series - Kiwanis Park is scheduled for May 16, 2026, at Kiwanis Park, 101 West Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ. The in-person field for the Kiwanis Park leg is limited to 700 participants. The event offers an in-person 5K and a Virtual Run option. The race is chip timed and provides real-time results and photos online and via a mobile app.
Entry, course and services
Registration uses tiered pricing for both the in-person 5K and the Virtual Run, with earlier rates lower than later rates. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses; virtual participants receive event apparel and the event medal attachment, and items ship after the first series event. Packet pickup is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and on race day at Kiwanis Park. Mail-in registrations are accepted until May 10, 2026.
Water stations are provided along the course. Male and female age-group awards are given to the top three in each age group. The event welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons, and is leashed pet friendly. Roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. The event runs in all weather and does not offer refunds or transfers due to weather.
Series information
This race is the first leg of a seven-event Arizona Sunrise Series. The series awards points for each event and enters top point earners and participants who complete at least four events into a prize drawing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
