Course and logistics
All courses use single-track desert trails, including the Escondido, Cinch, Scenic ridge, and Shallmo trails, with long and short loop configurations that join on the Shallmo Trail. Aid stations include a fully stocked main station at the start/finish, a fully stocked Escondido remote aid station, and water-only stations at the Pemberton Trailhead. The event is cupless - runners should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site.
Crew access and drop-bag areas are provided at the start/finish. Pacers are allowed only for the 50K, beginning on the fourth loop (around 40K); pacers are not allowed for other distances. Time limits are provided per distance (for example the 50K has a 10-hour limit). Other notes: parking requires a park entry fee, pets are not allowed on-course, camping is available at park campsites, volunteers receive race credits or swag, and live split tracking and chip timing are offered.
