Event Details
The Memorial Day Freedom Run offers several distances on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The event starts and finishes at G.R. Herberger Park on East Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Family 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run
Event Structure
The run is described as a smaller, private group event with capped participation per wave. Participants of all paces and ages are welcome to run or walk. Timing is optional, with participants encouraged to use their own apps or ask coordinators for help; no timing chips are used. Registration includes a running T-shirt, finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack. Swag is shipped directly to participants in the US. Race bibs are provided on the day of the event.
Wave start times are listed as 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 8:30 AM MST. Late runners can run upon arrival, as coordinators stay for three hours after the first wave.
