Avonworth Chase the Antelopes 5k and One Mile Walk

The Eighth Annual Avonworth Chase the Antelopes 5k and One Mile Walk is scheduled for April 25, 2026 in Pittsburgh, at Avonworth Middle School and the Avonworth Middle School/High School campus. The course starts and finishes on the high school track and follows a mostly flat route through Avonworth community neighborhoods.

The event is organized by the eighth grade class under the direction of their Civics teacher and Cross Country coaches. Students are responsible for designing the event t-shirt, creating medals and awards in Technology Education classes, and contacting local businesses for sponsorships and donations. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hannah Milbert Memorial Fund.

Entry fees are listed as $20 through March 30, 2026, with an increase to $25 afterward. Race day registration is available but event t-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants. Participant parking is at the Avonworth Middle School/High School campus; participants are asked not to park in the fire lanes.
