Avon 5K Run/Walk
The Avon 5K Run/Walk is a seaside 5-kilometre event in Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey, marking its 30th year. The course begins and ends on Ocean Avenue at Norwood Avenue and is run on streets that are flat and partially shaded. Clocks and staffed water stops are provided at each mile marker.

- 5 km Avon 5K Run/Walk
- 5 km Avon 5K Wheelchair Race
Shirts are guaranteed to the first 1,500 registered runners. All participants are automatically entered in a post-race raffle; raffle prizes include season beach badges for the Avon-by-the-Sea beach. Proceeds benefit the Avon Volunteer First Aid Squad, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that provides emergency medical and rescue services 24 hours a day and is staffed by volunteer EMTs. The squad has provided services since 1931 and relies on charitable contributions for operating expenses.
Bib and shirt pick-up is scheduled in two phases: early pickup at the Avon First Aid Building, 520 Main Street, on Thursday May 28 and Friday May 29, and late pickup at the pavilion on the Boardwalk at Norwood Avenue on Saturday May 30.
