Avery Brewing Co. 4K on the 4th
The Avery Brewing Co. 4K on the 4th is a running event held annually on Independence Day in Boulder, Colorado. Established in 2008, this race has become a local tradition for celebrating the July 4th holiday. Participants complete a 4K distance on a course described as flat and fast, starting and finishing at the brewery location on Nautilus Court North.
The event follows a route suitable for various participants, and baby strollers are permitted on the course. However, dogs are not allowed to participate in the race. Because the event takes place on a national holiday, runners are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue clothing to mark the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Following the run, the event features a post-race gathering. This celebration includes breakfast burritos provided by Savory Cuisines Catering, live music, and beverages from Avery Brewing Company. Registration for the race typically opens in early March. Participants who register by late May are eligible for a complimentary event t-shirt.
