Autumn River Views 5k & 10k
The event offers two measured distances along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath at Carderock Recreation Area in Potomac, MD. Courses run on a light gravel dirt trail as out-and-back routes with minimal elevation gains. The organizer describes the courses as fast and flat.

The event is chip timed and provides a finisher’s medal and a technical (drifit) event shirt. Water stations are placed roughly at mile 1.55 on the 5k, and at about miles 1.55, 2.7, 3.5 and 4.65 on the 10k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the race to check in. There will be no on-site race registration for this race.
Results and media: live results will be available via Athlinks and by a QR code at the event, with final results and series points posted the Monday after the race. Photos taken by staff are posted the Tuesday after the event. Runner tracking via SMS is offered during registration.
Competition and awards: top three men and women overall receive awards. First and second place awards are given in standard age categories; overall top three are not eligible for age-group awards. The event counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Proceeds benefit Team RWB DC.
