Autism Awareness 2 Mile Color Run
This event is a 2 mile color run and walk in Kearneysville, West Virginia, dedicated to raising autism awareness. It takes place on May 30 at James Hite Park.
The event is not officially timed. Participants will be divided into two groups for different experiences. Group 1 is a sensory-friendly run/walk where no color or water will be sprayed. Group 2 is a color run where color and water will be thrown along the course.
The registration fee is $25 per person. Participants are required to bring their own white t-shirt. Dressing up is encouraged. Registration ends on May 15. Those who register by April 1 are guaranteed a medal; registrations after that date are not.
All additional donations collected during the event will go directly to an autism research foundation. The event is hosted by Liv Mercer, Miss Morgantown’s Teen, as part of her community service initiative. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
