14th Annual Aut2Run For Autism
The Aut2Run for Autism is an annual event held at the California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo. The 2026 edition marks the 14th anniversary of the event, which supports the Autism Society Ventura County (ASVC). All proceeds from the race are used by ASVC to provide education, advocacy, and social programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families within the local community.
The event features several different distances to accommodate various preferences:
- 15K Hero Run: A combination event where participants run both the 10K and 5K courses.
- 10K Trail Race: A 6.2 mile off-road course.
- 5K Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile distance.
- 1 Mile Run/Walk: A shorter course for participants.
- Fun-K: A short distance event.
- Virtual Race: An option to participate by running or walking from any location.
Participants in the 15K Hero Run receive a specific medal featuring a superhero cape. The event also includes a vendor exhibition area and a T-shirt design contest. Parking and packet pick-up are organized on-site at the university campus. The theme for the 2026 event is "Together We Shine." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
