The Five07 Turkey Day Dash is a Thanksgiving morning tradition in Thousand Oaks. For one price, participants can run a timed 5K and/or join the untimed Zack Zernik Mile. The family-friendly event supports local nonprofits and features music, costumes, and community booths.

Five07 Turkey Day Dash 2026

The Five07 Turkey Day Dash takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. The event offers two activities for one entry price: a timed 5K road race and an untimed mile run/walk.

Event Schedule

The Zack Zernik Mile Run/Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.
The 5K Road Race starts at 8:30 a.m.

Participants can choose to do one or both of the events. Children aged 2 and under can participate for free. There is no race day registration. Early bird pricing ends on August 31, 2026, and families who register together receive a discount.

The event features music, costume contests, and local booths and vendors. Proceeds from the event will benefit three community nonprofits: Hospice of the Conejo, the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks Foundation, and the Ventura County Council of Boy Scouts.
