Stevenage Winter Half Marathon and 10k

The event at Ridlins Athletics Track in Stevenage offers two measured running options and a community-style event village. Races start and finish on the athletics track and use traffic-free tarmac routes around the town and Fairlands Valley Park.

Distances

• Half marathon 21.1 km with a longer lap of Fairlands Valley Park on the second circuit.
• 10k including a small lap around Fairlands Valley Park.

The event provides a generous 3 hour 30 minute cut-off time. On event day runners can expect organised warm-ups led by personal trainers, pacers at different target times, a professional commentator at the finish, and free event photos. The event village features live music, pre-race massage, catering, a coffee van, bar and food stalls, and a seasonal festive area where finishers can collect a custom medal and post-race refreshments and snacks.

A free 400 m children’s fun run is held on the running track before the main races; no advance booking is required for the children’s fun run and parents may run with their children. Parking at the venue is restricted to disabled users and officials, with additional parking available at Fairlands Valley Park and locations in Stevenage town centre; further details are provided in pre-race information.
