ATW Box End Triathlon
The ATW Box End Triathlon is a swim-bike-run event held at Box End Lakes, Box End Road, Bedford. Active Training World organises multiple race formats at the on-site lake and run route, with options for individual and team entries.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 26km bike, 5km run
- Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Centurion: 2250m swim, 80km bike, 20km run
The event offers Aquabike entries and relay teams of two to three participants. The race is non-draft legal and uses multi-lap courses. Box End Lake is described as having clear water and a scenic, on-site run route. Spectator opportunities exist because of the lap formats.
Facilities and services include camping at Box End Park, well-marked courses, on-course marshals, free event photos, a custom-designed finishers medal, and finish-line snacks. Inclusivity provisions note a Female category (for athletes assigned female at birth) and an Open category for other athletes, in place since January 1, 2023.
There are no applicable cutoffs for the Sprint and Standard distances when run alongside the 100k centurion race. Typical finish-time ranges provided are: Sprint winners around 1 hour 15 minutes with last-place finishes near 3 hours; Standard winners around 2 hours 20 minutes with last-place finishes near 4 hours 45 minutes.
Entry terms include no refunds or transfers to another person; entries may be transferred to a future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event date without requiring documentary proof. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
