Duck N Dash Aquathlon
Organised by Freedom Tri, the Duck N Dash Aquathlon is scheduled for 6 September 2026 at Letchworth Outdoor Pool, Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City, Herts, SG6 4UF. The multi-sport race combines pool swimming with a run through the local nature reserve of Norton Common and is the sixteenth running of the event.
The main adult course pairs a 400 m pool swim with a 5 km run. There are shorter junior distances and a two-person relay option that separates the swim and run between teammates.
- Seniors and relay teams - 400m swim (8 lengths) and 5k run
- Youth 15-16 years (2009-2010) - 400m swim and 5k run
- Tristar 3 13-14 years (2011-2012) - 300m swim and 3k run
- Tristar 2 11-12 years (2013-2014) - 200m swim and 2k run
- Tristar 1 9-10 years (2015-2016) - 100m swim and 1k run
- Tristar Start 8 years (2017) - 50m swim and 0.6k run
The event is chip timed and offers age group, open and female categories. It is open to a wide age range with entries accepted from 8 to 80 years (ages as at 31/12/2026). The race is part of the East Region Adult Race Series; inclusion in that series requires providing a BTF number during registration. The organisers work with the BTF to include visually impaired and mixed ability athletes.
Entries are limited to 350 participants. Entry fees listed range from £15 to £70 and a 6% booking fee applies. Non BTF members must purchase a BTF race pass; the documented cost is £8 for adults and £2 for under 25s. Timing chips are issued at registration only.
