ATW Bedford Half Marathon & 10k
This chip timed event takes place at Russell Park, Bedford on 21 February 2027 and offers two measured road running distances.
- 10 km one-lap course on the Bedford Embankment and around Priory Park.
- Half Marathon two laps with a small extension to reach 21.1 km.
The 10 km starts and finishes on the Bedford Embankment, runs toward the Town Bridge, follows the River Ouse to Priory Park, completes a lap of Priory Lake, and returns to the Embankment. Half Marathon entrants complete a second lap with a slight extension to reach the accurate distance. The route is traffic free and is on tarmac or firm paths. Course signage includes kilometre markers for the 10 km and mile markers for the Half Marathon.
Elevation is described as less than 50 m across the 10 km and about 100 m across the Half Marathon, and organisers present the course as favourable for personal bests. Event features include pre race warm ups led by personal trainers, a professional commentator at the finish, quality catering for spectators, free event photos, a custom finish medal and finish line snacks. A free Children’s Fun Run takes place before the main races; registration on the day is indicated in event information.
The event partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK for fundraising. The organiser allows transfers to another ATW event up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. The event sold out in 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
