Rumble In The Jumble VI at Northampton Active
Circuit Running stages Rumble In The Jumble VI, a six-hour timed challenge held at Northampton Active. Participants may complete distances from a short 5k up to an ultra-marathon within the six-hour window. The course is based on laps of 4.37 miles with a designated 5k turn point.
Distances on the course include:
- 5k set at a 5k turn point on the lap
- 10k equivalent to two 5k laps
- Half marathon normally three 5k laps
- Marathon normally six 5k laps
- Ultra marathon normally seven 5k laps
There is an aid table at the end of each lap offering water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. The venue provides toilet and changing facilities and there is plentiful parking. A bag drop area is available near the start/finish but it is not a secure storage facility.
The regular course may be amended following a health and safety review. Runners share public footpaths with other users and are asked to be considerate. The event is licensed by the TRA and conducted under UK Athletics rules. Rules set maximum permitted distances by age category; participants under 20 face specific distance limits.
