ATW Bedford 10k & Half Marathon
The event offers road and park races based at Russell Park, Bedford, Bedfordshire. Two main race distances are provided plus a separate family run:
- 10 km
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- Family Fun Run (free, not chip timed)
The one-lap 10 km course starts and finishes on Bedford Embankment, runs towards Town Bridge, follows the River Ouse to Priory Park, completes a lap of Priory Lake, and returns to the Embankment. Half marathon entrants complete a second lap with a small extension to reach the accurate 21.1 km distance. The course uses traffic free tarmac or firm paths and includes kilometre markers for the 10 km and mile markers for the half marathon. Elevation is stated as under 50 m for the 10 km and about 100 m for the half marathon.
Event services include warm-ups led by personal trainers, a professional commentator at the finish, on-site caterers, custom event medals, free event photos, and finish line snacks. The Family Fun Run is open to all ages; children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult and all child participants receive a medal. The fun run is not chip timed and produces no official results.
The organiser, ATW, runs national multisport events and lists entry prices between £33 and £41. The event partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK and provides opportunities to donate or fundraise at checkout. ATW permits transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
