ATW Bedford 10k & Half Marathon
The event, organised by ATW Events, takes place at Russell Park, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK40 3RH. The next scheduled date is 01/11/2026. Distances offered include:
- 10 km - one lap on the Bedford Embankment and around Priory Lake
- Half Marathon (21.1 km) - two laps with a slight extension to reach the accurate distance
Course and event features
The 10k starts and finishes on the Bedford Embankment, runs toward Town Bridge, crosses the bridge and follows the River Ouse to Priory Park, includes a lap of Priory Lake, then returns to the Embankment. The half marathon repeats the route with an added section to make up 21.1 km. The whole route is on traffic-free tarmac or firm paths. Elevation is stated as less than 50 m for the 10k and about 100 m for the half marathon. The course has kilometre markers for the 10k and mile markers for the half marathon.
A free Family Fun Run also takes place before the main races. The fun run is open to all ages; children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. It is not chip-timed, there are no results, and all child participants receive a medal.

The event includes warm-ups led by personal trainers, a professional commentator, on-site catering, custom-designed medals, free event photos, and finish-line snacks. The event’s charity partner is Alzheimer’s Research UK. No event parking is provided on site; council car parks are available nearby. The organiser does not issue refunds or transfers to another person but allows transfers to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the original event.
