Aspire 10K in Plainview
Aspire 10K is a USATF-certified 10K road event held in Plainview, New York, with the start/finish area at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, 100 Washington Ave. The course runs through suburban streets and rolling countryside and includes Nassau County Police traffic control; a recorded 5K split is available.
Registration is not yet open; organizers will open registration ahead of the event. Bib pickup is offered the day before at Runner's Edge, 242 Main St, Farmingdale, NY, and on race morning at the school through an event-staffed pickup window. Runners who register early may get a personalized race number; a self-lookup area is available for bib numbers.
Finishers receive a quality Aspire 10K shirt and a finisher medal, and there are post-race refreshments plus a post-race prize drawing for registered attendees. Live results and free same-day finish line and 5K split photos are provided; miscellaneous photos will be posted on social media.
Awards include top three male and female overall with prizes for first-place overall, top three in wheelchair divisions, multiple age-group awards across standard age brackets, masters and senior masters categories, and special awards for local residents. There is a $500 cash prize if the overall male winner breaks the race record of 30:27 (1988) and $500 if the overall female winner breaks the race record of 33:39 (2014).
