Aspire 10K
Aspire 10K is an annual road race held in Plainview, New York, based at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, 100 Washington Ave. The event is presented as the 48th annual edition and is scheduled for April 4. Registration was not open at the time of posting and is expected to open ahead of the event date.
The course is USATF certified for the 10K distance (6.2 miles) and passes through suburban streets and rolling countryside with Nassau County Police traffic control. A recorded 5K time is provided. No non service dogs are allowed at the event.
Participants receive a quality Aspire 10K shirt and a finisher medal. Post race refreshments are available and there is a post race drawing for prizes with winners required to be present. Live online results and free same day finish line and 5K split photos are provided.
Awards include top three male and female overall placings with specific prizes for overall winners, top three male and female wheelchair divisions, top three in multiple age groups, masters and senior masters categories, and a top male and female resident award for Plainview Old Bethpage. A cash prize of $500 is offered if the overall male or female winner breaks the listed race record times.
Pre race bib pickup is available Friday April 3 from 12 to 5 pm at Runner's Edge 242 Main St, Farmingdale NY. Race day bib pickup is available at the school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
