Aspire 10K - Plainview, NY
Aspire 10K is an annual road race held in Plainview, New York, organized as a USATF certified 10 km course that runs through suburban streets and rolling countryside. The event is presented as a run/walk with Nassau County Police traffic control and a recorded 5K split.
Amenities for participants include a top-quality Aspire 10K shirt, a finisher medal, plentiful post-race refreshments, and live results with free same-day finish line and 5K split photos. A post-race drawing offers dozens of prizes; winners must be present to claim prizes.
Awards cover a broad set of categories: top 3 male and female overall finishers, top 3 male and female wheelchair competitors, top 3 in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 90+, top 3 masters (40 to 59), and top 3 senior masters (60+). First-place overall male and female awards include sponsored prizes, and there are cash bonuses if either overall winner breaks the existing men's or women's course records. A special award recognizes the top male and female residents of Plainview-Old Bethpage.
Proceeds benefit the Sunrise Association, which provides free inclusive camps, year-round programs, and in-hospital activities for children with cancer and their siblings.
