Aspire 10K Run/Walk

The Aspire 10K Run/Walk is held in Plainview, New York, on April 4 with the race venue at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, 100 Washington Ave. The course is USATF certified 10K (6.2 miles) and runs through suburban streets and rolling countryside with Nassau County Police traffic control. A recorded 5K time is provided.

Participants receive a race shirt labeled “Aspire 10K” and a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments are available and there is a post-race prize drawing for dozens of items; winners must be present. Live online, email and text results are provided along with free same-day finish line and 5K split photos; additional event photos are posted online.

Awards include top three male and female overall placings with specified prizes for the first three finishers, top three male and female wheelchair finishers, and top three in multiple age groups from 9 & under up to 90 plus. Separate masters and senior masters awards are offered. Special awards include top male and female residents of Plainview-Old Bethpage and $500 cash prizes if overall male or female winners break longstanding course records.

Proceeds benefit the Sunrise Association, which operates free summer day camps, year-round programs and in-hospital recreational activities for children with cancer and their siblings.

Bib pickup is available pre-race on Friday, April 3 from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at Runner's Edge, 242 Main St, Farmingdale, NY, and on race day at the school. A Self Lookup area is available for unknown bib numbers and personalized race numbers require registration at least three weeks in advance. No non-service dogs are allowed at the event.
