About the race
The Aspire 10K is presented as the 48th Annual event and is scheduled for April 4, 2026 at H.B. Mattlin Middle School, 100 Washington Ave., Plainview, NY. The course is USATF certified for 10 km (6.2 miles) and runs through suburban streets and rolling countryside with Nassau County Police traffic control. A recorded 5K split time is provided.
Amenities include a quality Aspire 10K shirt, a finisher medal, post-race refreshments, a post-race prize drawing (must be present to win), and live results with free same-day finish line and 5K split photos.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and wheelchair finishers; first place overall men and women receive a pair of Saucony Ride 18 shoes and additional prize cards are awarded to second and third places. Age-group awards are given for standard 5-year divisions from 9 & under through 90+, plus Masters and Senior Masters categories. Special awards include top male and female residents of Plainview-Old Bethpage and $500 cash prizes if the overall male or female winner breaks the standing race records.
Bib pickup is available pre-race on Friday, April 3 from 12:00 to 17:00 at Runner's Edge, 242 Main St, Farmingdale, NY, with race day pickup at the school. No non-service dogs are allowed. Proceeds benefit the Sunrise Association, which provides free camps and programs for children with cancer and their siblings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
