Ashenfelter 8K Classic & The Tom Fleming 2K
This event features two certified road races held in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, at Glen Ridge High School, 200 Ridgewood Avenue. Proceeds support the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation, a not for profit that provides supplemental funding to the local school system. The program is listed as the 27th A8K Classic alongside the Tom Fleming 2K.

- A8K 8 kilometer road race, USATF certified, relatively flat with two water stops
- Tom Fleming 2K one mile out and back on Ridgewood Avenue, USATF certified
The 8K honors a local Olympic steeplechase champion from the 1952 Olympic Games. The 2K honors a local marathon winner from the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathons. Awards include trophies for overall male and female winners, commemorative apparel for top finishers in age divisions in the A8K, medals for all Tom Fleming 2K participants, ceramic cups to the first 100 male and first 100 female A8K finishers, and prize money distributed to current USATF New Jersey members.
Amenities and logistics note long sleeve tech tops for the first 3000 pre registered A8K participants and cotton T shirts for the first 1000 Tom Fleming 2K pre registered participants. Packet pickup is at the high school gym the Wednesday before and on race morning. Results are scored by CompuScore and posted online.
