The Ashenfelter 8K Classic and the Tom Fleming 2K take place in Glen Ridge, New Jersey on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The events are produced by the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), and proceeds support programs in the Glen Ridge public schools. The race listing shows two distances:

The A8K is a USATF-sanctioned event and part of the USATF-NJ Grand Prix series (700 points). Registration fees are listed for each event and prices increase after November 15, 2025. The Tom Fleming 2K awards a commemorative medal to all participants.
Course, awards and logistics
The 8K course is USATF certified, described as relatively flat, and includes two water stops through historic Glen Ridge. An out-and-back course on Ridgewood Avenue is noted as USATF certified. Awards include trophies for overall male and female winners, age-division embroidered apparel for top finishers in the A8K, ceramic cups for the first 100 male and first 100 female A8K finishers, and prize money for current USATF-NJ members in select categories ($150, $100, $50).
Place and packet information: the event is based at Glen Ridge High School, 200 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ 07028. Pre-registered packet pick-up is at the high school gym on the Wednesday before the race from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and on the race day morning.
