Ashenfelter 8K Classic and Tom Fleming 2K
The Ashenfelter 8K Classic and the Tom Fleming 2K are two road races held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, that benefit the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation. The event is produced by the Glen Ridge Educational Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3); proceeds support programs in the Glen Ridge public schools. Registration opens on August 17 and listed entry fees are $36 for the 8K and $30 for the 2K.

The 8K course is USATF certified and described as relatively flat, with two water stops and a route through historic Glen Ridge. A separate one mile course is USATF certified and runs out and back on Ridgewood Avenue. The event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field and is part of the USATF New Jersey Grand Prix scoring, with the 8K carrying 700 championship points. USATF New Jersey members receive a $3 registration discount when applied by 11/21.
