Event overview
The ASDAsh 5K to Beat Tooth Decay is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. It is presented by the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine as the event's sixth annual running. The course is a 5K that starts and ends at the Library Commons on the Anschutz campus and has been changed to a new route through campus for this year.
Race details and logistics
The event introduces the "Meatball Mile" as mile 2 of the course; that section is a designated Strava segment with a prize for the participant who earns the KOM title. All proceeds will benefit the Veterans Assistance Grant, which supports dental care for veterans through the CU Dental Team Care Clinics. Entry is listed at $30 (includes a fee), and registration opens March 9, 2026. Registration by September 27th is required to guarantee a t-shirt. Bib pick-up requires a photo ID for check-in, and t-shirts and goody bags will be distributed at the post-race party.
The post-race party takes place at Milieu Fermentation and will feature food trucks, a custom beverage, awards, and raffle prize drawings. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female runners. All participants receive a raffle ticket; winners must be present to claim prizes such as gift cards, class packs, and coolers. Parking is recommended at the Julesburg Visitor Lot (Victor St & E 17th Pl, Aurora, CO). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
