Mountain Ridge Trail Race
Mountain Ridge Trail Race takes place April 10, 2027 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with multiple trail distances starting and finishing at Mountain Ridge Middle School.
Distances offered:
- 21 Mile (21.8 miles)
- Half Marathon (13 miles)
- 10 KM (6.2 miles)
- 5 KM (3.1 miles)
The courses run primarily on dirt single-track and regional trails with some bike-path sections. Layouts are out-and-back; the 21 Mile and Half Marathon use a Y-shaped out-and-back. Terrain is rolling hills with notable climbs near the start for several distances. Trail shoes are recommended but not required.
Elevation and course notes span the distances, from roughly 374 feet total gain on the 5K to 2,106 feet on the 21 Mile course, with maximum elevations around 6,400 feet on the longer courses. Aid stations are placed along longer routes: four on the 21 Mile, three on the Half Marathon, two on the 10 KM, and none listed for the 5 KM. The event is cupless on listed courses.
