Mountain Ridge Trail Race, Highlands Ranch, CO
The Mountain Ridge Trail Race takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, near Highlands Ranch and starts and finishes at Mountain Ridge Middle School. The event offers multiple trail distances on primarily dirt and single track routes that run on local regional trails and bike paths.

Course surfaces are predominantly dirt with a small portion of paved bike path. Routes are described as rolling hills with out-and-back layouts; the 21 mile and half marathon use a "Y" out-and-back configuration. Elevation characteristics vary by distance, for example total elevation gain is listed as about 2,106 feet for the 21 mile and about 1,345 feet for the half marathon. Aid stations are provided on each longer course and the event operates as a cupless race to reduce single-use waste.
Pacers are not permitted for any distance. Crews may support runners at the finish area. Parking is at Mountain Ridge Middle School and a designated area for drop bags is available at the start/finish.
