Event overview
The Three Creeks Half Marathon takes place on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Cherry Creek State Park in Denver, Colorado. The event is organized by Racing Underground and offers a standard half marathon plus a 2-person half marathon relay. Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles
- 6.55 miles (each leg of the relay)
Course and logistics
The course is 13.1 miles and follows the banks of Cherry Creek, Windmill Creek, and Cottonwood Creek on a mix of paved roads, paved running paths, and wide, smooth dirt trails. The total combined elevation gain is 291 feet over the full distance. Eight aid stations are placed at about every two miles and are stocked with water and Hammer Heed; Hammer Gel is available at miles 6.5 and 10. Toilets are available at the start/finish and on course at approximately 0.75, 2, 7.5, 8.5, and 10.5 miles.
The 2-person relay splits the course in half with the exchange zone at the 6.5 mile aid station. A shuttle van will transport runners assigned to the second half to the exchange zone and will return first-half runners to the start/finish area. Early packet pickup is available at Runners Roost Lakewood the Friday before the race, and race day packet pickup will be at Hobie Hill. Parking is in the south lot of Cherry Creek High School; participants must use that lot only.
Entry, awards, and policies
Half marathon entry fees range from $65 (early) up to $100 (race day). Relay entry fees range from $100 to $130; there is no race-day registration for relays. Cash awards of $200, $150, and $100 are given to the top-3 overall male and female finishers (determined by gun time). Age group awards and nonbinary awards are based on net time. Refunds are not issued; partial credits toward future Racing Underground events are available under specified timelines. If the event is canceled, in-person entrants will be moved to the virtual category with shirts and medals mailed and receive a $20 credit.
