Event Overview
The Asbury Park Sheehan Classic is a 5K running event presented by the Shore Athletic Club. It takes place on August 8, 2026. The event features a USATF-certified course described as flat and fast, which finishes on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.

Location and Schedule
The main activities are centered around Bradley Park, with the opening ceremony held there. Bib and t-shirt pickup is available on the Friday before the race at The Outpost Running and Walking Co. in Little Silver, and also on race morning at Bradley Park.
Registration and Details
Participation is capped at 1,600 runners. The first 1,200 participants to pick up their bibs receive a soft cotton tie-dye event t-shirt. Registration fees increase at several deadlines leading up to the race. Separate registration is available for kids' races.
Awards are presented in Bradley Park after the youth races. They include cash prizes for the top five overall male and female finishers, totaling over $1,300. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year increments, and there is a team competition across several categories. A raffle is also held during the awards ceremony.
