Around Cape Ann Half Marathon
The Around Cape Ann Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026 in Gloucester, MA. The event is a half marathon (13.1 miles) that follows a scenic route around Cape Ann’s coastline and passes through the seaside villages of Gloucester and Rockport. The race is presented as a longstanding event that began in 1933 and is a USATF sanctioned event.
Course, services and logistics
The finish area and parking are at O'Maley Middle School, 32 Cherry Street, Gloucester. Free shuttle buses transport participants to the starting area at Good Harbor Beach, roughly 3 miles from the finish. Bib and race-shirt pickup is at O'Maley on race day only. Bag check is available at the starting line as a self-service option. Restrooms are provided near the start and a restroom is located along the course near mile 6.
There are six aid stations with water located near miles 2, 3.5, 5, 6.5, 9 and 11.5. ZYM Hydration is listed as the on-course drink sponsor. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in standard 5-year age groups (overall, 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, up to 70+); awards must be picked up on site and will not be mailed.
