Argyle Band on the Run
The Argyle Band on the Run is a community athletic event held in Argyle, Texas. This third annual gathering supports the Argyle Band program for students in grades 6-12 through the Argyle Band Boosters, a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. The event is open to runners, walkers, and families, featuring a musical atmosphere with live entertainment.
The following distances are available for participants:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1K Fun Run
Participants in the 10K and 5K receive a cotton T-shirt, a timing chip on their bib, and a finishers medal. The 1K Fun Run participants receive a cotton T-shirt, a bib, and a finishers medal. The event area includes multiple food and product vendors, as well as a raffle with one entry included per race registration. On-site medical staff and local police are present to manage the safety of participants and spectators.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners in various age groups ranging from 5 and under to 70 and older. Recognition is also given for specific categories, including the fastest stroller and the oldest and youngest runners. The event takes place at 6601 Canyon Falls Drive.
