Melon Dash: 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Melon Dash is a Run Project event held at Little Elm Park in Little Elm, TX on June 20, 2026. The event offers multiple course options and both in-person and virtual participation.

The race features new 10K and 5K courses, with USATF certified course maps available for the 5K and 10K and interactive maps for each distance. An event guide provides maps, parking information, and route details.
On-site features include a lakeside after-party, an awards ceremony, a sponsor village, refreshments including ice-cold beer, and complimentary watermelon. The race also includes a watermelon eating contest. Event swag for participants includes a custom short sleeve tech shirt, a custom finisher’s medal, and a race bib. A VIP experience is offered with premium parking and a 16oz margarita for a set fee.
Packet pickup is scheduled on multiple dates and at multiple locations including Tinman Social in Little Elm, Fort Worth Running Company, Dallas Running Company Southlake, Dallas Running Company Plano, and Little Elm Park. Awards are given to top overall finishers, masters, and top three in standard age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over.
Entry fees are final by policy; transfers are permitted and a voluntary enhanced refund protection program is available. A virtual race option is also offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
