Melon Dash takes place on June 20, 2026 at Little Elm Park in Little Elm, Texas. The event offers in-person races and a virtual option that allows participants to run on their own schedule.

Race registration includes a short sleeve tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib. The in-person event features a beer garden for those over 21, an after party with a DJ, free ice cold watermelon, free parking, and a bag check. Virtual registration includes a tech shirt, finisher medal, and a customizable bib, with virtual packets shipping after the event.
Awards are distributed to first through third overall male and female finishers, first overall masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 and over. Winners must be present to claim awards. The event lists packet pickup dates in the days before the race at local running stores in Fort Worth, Southlake, and Plano, and packet pickup is also available at Little Elm Park on race day.
