2026 Melon Dash 5K, 10K & Fun Run
The Melon Dash takes place at Little Elm Park in Little Elm, Texas. This summer event features brand-new courses for both the 5K and 10K distances, starting and finishing near the Little Elm Park Boat Ramp. The venue provides free parking for participants, with VIP parking options available for purchase.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 10K
- 5K (Timed)
- Untimed 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual Run
Registration for the in-person event includes a short-sleeve tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib. The post-race activities include an after-party with music provided by a DJ, a beer garden for participants over 21, and a watermelon eating contest. Fresh, ice-cold watermelon is provided to all runners.
The event supports various organizations through fundraising, including the Animal Rescue Crusaders of Texas, Girls on the Run DFW, and Rainbow Days. Discounts are available for youth aged 8 and under, seniors aged 65 and over, and groups of four or more people registering in a single transaction.
