The Melon Dash is a set of races held on June 20, 2026, at Little Elm Park (Boat Ramp / Lighthouse Beach Drive) in Little Elm, Texas. The event includes race distances and a virtual option. The on-site event features an after-party with a beer garden (21+), sponsor booths, awards, and a Watermelon Eating Contest. Free ice-cold watermelon and free parking are provided for participants. New course maps have been published for the 5K and 10K, and USATF certification is listed as coming soon.

Logistics and entries
Registration includes a short sleeve tech shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a race bib. Virtual registration includes the same shirt and medal, a customizable bib, and flexibility to run anywhere; virtual results can be uploaded from June 20, 2026, through September 26, 2026, and virtual packets will ship starting the week of June 22, 2026. Packet pickup is available the week before the race at Fort Worth Running Company and Dallas Running Company locations, and on race day at Little Elm Park. Pricing tiers, youth and senior discounts, and a $5 group discount for four or more are listed; group discounts do not apply to the Fun Run or Virtual Run.
