Playtri Little Elm Lake Triathlon & Run-Bike-Run
The event takes place on June 14, 2026 at Little Elm Park Beachfront Recreational Park in Little Elm, Texas. It is a USA Triathlon sanctioned race offering multiple race formats at the same venue.
Distances and formats include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 meter swim, 16 mile bike, 5K run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500 meter swim, 24 mile bike, 10K run.
- Duathlon Run Bike Run: 1 mile run, 16 mile bike, 5K run.
Swims take place in the lake; water temperature may vary and wetsuit use follows USA Triathlon rules. Race organizers will determine water temperature on race morning. Swimmers are seeded into starting corrals based on predicted swim times, for example a predicted time of 23 minutes would place a swimmer in a 20 to 25 minute corral.
Biking on the triathlon courses is completed in multiple loops; for example the sprint bike leg is two loops and the Olympic bike leg is three loops. Runs use roads and the paved trails system of Little Elm. All bikes must comply with USA Triathlon rules and helmets are required.
Relay divisions and a virtual race option are offered. Minimum age is 13 for most events, with a higher minimum age for the Olympic distance. The organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any entry. Complimentary pre race clinics are listed as available for participants.
