Area 51 : basic details
Area 51 is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Sam Houston Trail Park, 101 I-635, Irving, TX 75038. The event offers multiple race options:

Registration for the 5K, 10K, half-marathon and 1-mile entries includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. The listing notes a deadline to register by 01/17 to guarantee t-shirt size.
Race format, awards and options
The half-marathon course is run as two laps. The 1-mile option is an untimed event and has no age-group awards. The Kid's Dash is a free short sprint of about 100–200 meters held before the main races; dashers may purchase a shirt and finisher medal as add-ons. A virtual option is available; virtual registrants will receive shipped shirts and medals the week of the race.
Age-group awards are offered for the 5K, 10K and half-marathon and are awarded four deep across male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall and masters age categories also receive overall medals. All awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
Charity and volunteering
The organizer, Run Different, donates 10% of profits and 100% of donations to Encounter Church (Fate). Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank-you. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
