Arc GLOW Friends & Family 5K and Fun Walk
Arc GLOW’s Friends & Family event on Sept. 19, 2026 takes place at the Elba Day Habilitation Center in Elba, NY. The event offers a 5K run and a fun walk and is intended to welcome participants of all ages and abilities, including the people Arc GLOW serves and their families and community.
The event includes a "Taste of Country" feature where fruits and vegetables donated by area farmers are displayed; runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers may take produce home. Proceeds support the Mary Anne Graney Memorial Scholarship program for local high school seniors pursuing studies in human services, special education or related fields, and also help fund Arc GLOW programs and services.
The 5K began as a memorial to Mary Anne Graney and in 2017 combined with a former memorial 5K for a longtime Arc GLOW staff member; sponsorship levels recognize those honorees (Bluebonnet, Blue Spruce and Blue Knight). Registration options listed for the event include fees for the 5K, the fun walk and a post-party option, and the registration process includes an electronic waiver and several payment methods.
