Arc GLOW Friends & Family 5K and Fun Walk

The event offers two participation options and is open to people of all ages and abilities. It explicitly welcomes participation by the people served by Arc GLOW and their families and community, aligning with the organization’s mission to support people with disabilities.

A signature feature called Taste of Country presents a display of fruits and vegetables donated by area farmers. Runners, walkers, sponsors and volunteers each have the opportunity to take some of the donated produce home.

Proceeds from the event support local scholarships for high school seniors pursuing studies in human services, special education or related fields, as well as a range of Arc GLOW programs and services. The event has incorporated earlier memorial 5K traditions and includes sponsor levels named Bluebonnet, Blue Spruce and Blue Knight that recognize those connections.
