Heart & Sole 5k Walk/Run
The Heart & Sole 5k Walk/Run is an annual athletic event hosted by the Pembroke Teachers' Federation in Corfu, New York. The 2026 edition marks the second year of this event, which serves as a benefit for Genesee County Mental Health Services. The event is centered at the Pembroke Intermediate School located on Alleghany Road.
Participants can take part in the following distance:
- 5 km (3.1 miles) Run/Walk
The registration fee includes a donation to mental health services and a commemorative Sport-Tek unisex t-shirt. These shirts are guaranteed only for the first 250 registered participants. To ensure a specific shirt size, registration must be completed before March 18th. The registration fee increases after March 17th, with options available for both advanced and race-day registration.
Packet pickup is organized over two days at the Pembroke Intermediate School. Early pickup is available on the Friday preceding the event, while a second window for pickup and in-person registration is provided on the morning of the run.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants receive medals. Additional trophies are awarded to the first-place male and female finishers. The race is designed to accommodate both runners and walkers on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
