Alden 5K Race For Scholarships in Alden, NY
The Alden 5K Race For Scholarships takes place on June 4, 2026 and is the 19th annual edition. Proceeds are used to provide scholarship awards to graduating students of Alden High School. The race starts and finishes in front of Alden High School at 13190 Park Street, Alden NY 14004.
Two event distances are offered:
- 5K run/walk
- Kids Fun Run on the high school track: 100 m, 400 m, 800 m by age
Online registration and a race day packet pickup option are available; a mail in registration option requires both the race waiver and the appropriate USATF liability waiver and a check payable to Alden 5K Scholarship Fund. Participants who register for the 5K by May 15 are guaranteed an official event t-shirt in their requested size while supplies last. Kids Fun Run entry fee is listed through race day and all participants in the fun run are guaranteed a race souvenir.
The post race celebration is held in conjunction with the Taste of Alden and includes food, beverages, live music, and a basket raffle that will include three autographed Buffalo Bills items. Timing is provided with RFID electronic timing and results are updated in real time with finish line photos and downloadable finisher certificates available via the event results platform. Parking is encouraged in the High School and Elementary parking lots. There are no refunds; organizers may postpone, reschedule, or offer a virtual alternative if necessary for safety reasons.
