Mr Ed's Superbowl Warm-up is the 37th annual canalside race held on February 8, 2026 in Middleport, NY. The event includes multiple distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
- 5 km walk
- 5 km firefighter relay
Proceeds benefit the Middleport Volunteer Fire Company scholarship fund. Since 1990 the event has donated over $125,500 to Roy-Hart students and the Middleport community. Long-sleeved "collector's item" shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registrants; size XXXL carries a $3 surcharge. Paper applications are accepted but are not processed until February 1.
Course and race details
The 5 km is a certified canalside course (NY14900KL) that begins at the corner of Mill Street and N. Hartland Street and follows town roads and a canal towpath before returning near 6 Mill Street. The race route includes road sections, a canal section, and some hills. No dogs or strollers are allowed in the 5 km race. Packet pickup and in-person registration are handled at the Middleport Fire Company. Awards are given by overall, masters, grand masters (60+), firefighter categories, 5-year age groups, and specific prizes such as fastest Canadian and fastest firefighter relay.
