Wayne A Burlison Colon Cancer Awareness Run/Walk
The event takes place on 03/20/2027 in Albion, New York, at 324 East Ave. Wolfpack Multisport is hosting the event to honor Wayne A. Burlison. A portion of the event proceeds will be contributed to a memorial scholarship administered by the Albion Alumni Foundation and to the Orleans Community Health Foundation to help make colonoscopies more accessible and affordable.
Distances offered:
- 0.25 mile kids run (ages 6-14)
- 3.17 miles run/walk, in-person and virtual options available
- 10K run/walk, in-person and virtual options available
The course leads runners into the historic Mt. Albion Cemetery and features rolling terrain and scenic views. Mt. Albion Cemetery is a rural cemetery established in the 1840s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The route passes the memorial site for Wayne A. Burlison, includes an amply supplied water station, and has volunteers positioned along the course. The 10K follows two loops with a turnaround just before Clarendon Road.
