Course and logistics
All courses run on rolling single-track trails through the foothills of the San Tan and Goldmine mountain ranges with Saguaro cactus and desert valleys. Sections of the Goldmine Trail include very steep, rocky trail; portions of the San Tan Trail pass through a sandy wash. Aid stations supply water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. Aid station spacing varies by distance but is generally every 2 to 5 miles; the event is cupless so runners should bring a reusable cup.
Parking and access notes: due to park and road constraints, 9K and 5K participants are required to park at Mountain View Church (4815 W Hunt Hwy, San Tan Valley) and use a shuttle into the park; 17K runners are encouraged to park there. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish for 50K and 26K runners. Crews may access the start/finish area only; pacers are not allowed.
